Calf

The other day I had to step onto the back of a trailer. It was an odd height, like stepping onto the top of a desk. Even though I had something to pull myself up with, I had to bend my leg in a way it wasn’t used to bending. As I pulled myself up, straining on the ball of my foot, I pulled a calf muscle—in my other leg! That’s like getting hit in the nose and your ear falls off.

I immediately cramped up (I walked that off) and sat down on the trailer in pain. The calf was throbbing the rest of the night and it has been sore ever since. What a fat, out-of-shape, Old blob I am. Not only do I get hurt pulling myself onto a trailer, I hurt the leg that wasn’t doing anything—the balance leg. Granted I’m not in shape, but I have been known to work out. Maybe I need to start stretching or something?
